Punch Buggy

Punch Buggy / Slug Bug / Punch Dub This post is for a popular car spotting game where players are looking for just one type of car, specifically Volkswagen Type 1, the Volkswagen Beetle, also know as the VW Beetle or Bug. The game is known as Punch Buggy, Slug Bug or Punch Dub. Although Punch Dub is a newer version of the game for all VW models (we'll get to this later).  Punch Buggy is a variant on the Yellow Car or Spotto game (well maybe Spotto is a variant of Punch Buggy, no one can be sure which came first). Players are typically rear seat passengers in a travelling vehicle. Players call out Punch Buggy and the colour of the car, i.e. Punch Buggy Blue, then "punch" the nearest passenger.  We will stop here quickly. It is important to note that in no way does True Review support violence, aggression or assault. Also True Review take no responsibility for any accident or injury that may occur. This "punch" should be considered a love tap, a light bump on the

Living & Co Manufacturer

The Living & Co brand seems to be a product range for The Warehouse stores but is not shown as a brand on the warehouse group website. The Living & Co range of products is varied from furniture to various household products and electrical items.

I have found that the electrical range is distributed by a consumer products company called CDB Media Limited. It is likely that they design and manufacture the Living & Co products specifically for The Warehouse.

CDB Media Limited
8 orbit drive, Albany, Auckland
http://www.cdb.co.nz/

The CDB mainline product seems to be Goldair, which is owned and operated by CDB.
They state "CDB is New Zealand's largest importer, distributor and marketer of electrical accessories, lighting, appliances and heating".

The main CDB products are Goldair, Celsius, Orbit Lighting, Sodastream, Stadler Form, MagicBullet, NutriBullet, Living & Co, EcoSaver and maybe many more.

So there you have it,
It's the truth

  1. where are the living and co products made?

  2. It would depend on the product. There are numerous products in various categories.
Generally from Asian countries, however some parts might be imported and the products assembled in New Zealand.

    1. Hi Kellie,
Thanks for contacting me. Unfortunately I do not have these specific assembly instructions. There are many many different products and Living & Co change their product line up constantly so it is difficult to keep up with the changes.
If anyone else has these instructions or any other Living & Co instruction booklets please share with me, I would be happy to show them here for others to find.

  4. I purchased a retro kettle 1.7 litre (cream) and wondered what the interior bottom of the kettle is made of. When I boil the water it has a plastic taste and even after washing it inside it still tastes of this.

    1. Hi L,
I do not have this particular kettle but I would assume the base of the kettle is made from stainless steel. If you still have the leaflet please share it with me.
If this is a brand new kettle it may need to be boiled several times to remove any residues from the manufacturing process. If the taste does not stop, talk to The Warehouse and try to return or exchange it.
If it has started doing this after a few months, it could indicate a faulty component. If so, try to get an exchange or refund.
The last thing is the water, are you new to the town. It could just be a different tasting water than what you are used to, but I assume the cold water does not have this taste. You could talk to the water supply company to check for any quality issues.
Good luck. Hope I have helped you.

  5. I am having a hideous time trying to assemble a 4 tier kitchen trolley. Supposed to take 60 mins to put together for one person. Definately not taking 60 minutes, and definately not one person. Very annoyed.

    1. That looks like a nice kitchen trolley. Hope you can get it together. Sometimes you just need to step back, take another look and hope all the bits and pieces are there and the screws haven't rolled away. If you have the instructions, please scan and send them to me to help others.
All the best Sarah, good luck finishing the assembly.

    2. Unfortunately the instructions are not that great - if at all any instructions. Pictures with arrows and numbers. Does look nice looking at the pictures, if I ever manage to get it together.

  6. I have a living &co 2 in 1 stick vacuum cleaner aand is just over a year old the battery will not charge the charging cord is ok as i have tested that so what can be wrong and where can I get parts from as no place in my town has any

    1. Hard to say exactly what might be wrong. It could be the battery itself, could be the connectors are not making good contact or could be a circuit failure in the charger unit. Parts will only be special order from the Warehouse. They would not stock these kind of parts.
Check your warranty conditions. The battery should last at least a few years. It it is just over the warranty period they might be a little lenient and fix it for you.
There may be an online store that has similar parts, but you will need to have an electrician dismantle it and find the specific part numbers.
Unfortunately, if the Warehouse don't help you, these products are generally a throw away item. Try to dispose at an electrical recycler if possible.

  7. I have a living and co micro wave oven which I love I have only had it a few months but the panel with the instructions on has worn very badly and looks awful any solution please

    1. It's great that the microwave is working good for you. It is unfortunate that the label was already worn. These control panel labels should last several years at least. Is it being used for commercial purpose? If it is just being used at home, I suggest you take it back to The Warehouse and ask for a replacement. The warranty should cover fair wear and tear, this being normal household daily use. They should repair or replace it for you.
Let us know how you go.

  8. Hi I'm wanting to know if I can purchase a crock pot for the triple slow cooker please?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Great question. I'm sure a lot of people who purchase the Triple Bowl Slow Cooker by Living & Co would find an additional bowl/crock pot handy. Also it would be very annoying if one of the bowls broke. A triple bowl cooker with only two bowls...
I would expect The Warehouse should be able to special order these in. It would probably be best to submit a contact form through their help centre. You could try in store, hopefully you talk to a really helpful staff member but they will likely refer you to the online help centre.
Good luck, let us know if you are successful.

  12. A small side pocket should be included for smaller tools, such as a screwdriver or a wire cutter. There should also be a padded handle so you don't have to bend over to pick up your tools. If you want to know more about electrician tool kits, you can find its details on household-utilities.

  13. Living and co candles.

I have bought several of candles in glass jars. My problem is that once the wax gets down to a certain level I can't relight the wick because the opening at the top of candles is too narrow to fit my hand in. End up wasting half the candle and the jar. It's frustrating as I really like the scents but can't see the point in wasting half of the candle

  15. Hi how do we order bulk direct from living and co ?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Unfortunately, I don't think you can order directly from Living and Co as the brand seems to be licenced to The Warehouse only. There may be an independent wholesaler or dropshipper that has the same products but rebranded. I have not come across any yet. If you find one let us know.
