Punch Buggy

Punch Buggy / Slug Bug / Punch Dub This post is for a popular car spotting game where players are looking for just one type of car, specifically Volkswagen Type 1, the Volkswagen Beetle, also know as the VW Beetle or Bug. The game is known as Punch Buggy, Slug Bug or Punch Dub. Although Punch Dub is a newer version of the game for all VW models (we'll get to this later).  Punch Buggy is a variant on the Yellow Car or Spotto game (well maybe Spotto is a variant of Punch Buggy, no one can be sure which came first). Players are typically rear seat passengers in a travelling vehicle. Players call out Punch Buggy and the colour of the car, i.e. Punch Buggy Blue, then "punch" the nearest passenger.  We will stop here quickly.  PET NAME TAGS

At a recent visit to a local Petbarn pet store to grab some supplies for the recent puppy addition to our family and to our utter joy we discovered the myfamily ID tags system. This identification system is simply amazing and super easy to use, at a very reasonable price. The pet name tags, or ID tags, come in a large variety of shapes and sizes. You simply purchase the tag at the advertised price (yes, no additional costs for every letter you want engraved, it is an all inclusive price) then insert it into the engraving station and in a couple of minutes it's all done.

Purchase        Engrave        Attach

The myfamily developed Techla engraving station is fully automated. The ID tags are purchased in a special case that can be inserted into the Techla engraving station. The case holds the tag in place while the engraver does its job. The system has an easy to use touch screen and allows for varying arrangements of letters, fonts, words and multiple lines. It automatically adjusts the text size to fit the chosen letters onto the chosen tag. You can even flip the tag over and engrave both sides of the tag. The system asks all the right questions and provides prompts and instructions perfectly.

This system is an amazingly simple yet complex piece of technology. An ingenious design. It is something you wish you thought of sooner, but myfamily have done a fantastic job in creating a wonderfully small engraver, cleverly engineered packaging and a nice display system.

It is so easy and actually a little fun to use that you will want to change your pets tag every month or so just to play with and watch the engraver do its thing. Not only is it great for pets you could also use the tags for key rings or luggage id tags, and probable a few other uses. I have not seen this system in airports yet but I tell you what, I would much rather pay a few bucks for an engraved tag than scribble my name on those silly luggage tags the airlines give you.

Negatives

At this point I have no negatives except that I wish I had thought of this idea and I wish I had the money to roll this out through hardware stores and airports.

Thanks myfamily, I'm sure I'll be back for another tag soon.

Cheers
