 Punch Buggy / Slug Bug / Punch Dub This post is for a popular car spotting game where players are looking for just one type of car, specifically Volkswagen Type 1, the Volkswagen Beetle, also know as the VW Beetle or Bug. The game is known as Punch Buggy, Slug Bug or Punch Dub. VENUE IDEAS

If you looking to have a small party with a few friends, invite the whole family or a large party with family, friends and the whole class, there are a number of options in the area weather your on a budget or splashing out for a special occasion.

If you are local, visiting friends or staying in a self contained property you could just setup inside the house or in the back yard. Although if it is two friends or twenty, your probably going to want all the excitement and mess far away from your beautiful clean house. If this is you then here are some options you could consider.

Montreal Theatre - Tumut


This space is available for private hire from $150 for four hours. Friday and Saturday is a little more from around $250 for four hours. Add the theatre projector for under $200. At $350, it's fairly reasonable for full private use of a cinema for a few hours.

Nest Cinema - Tumbarumba


Nest Cafe and Cinema does not display private hire rates on their website however I'm sure they would also offer private hire outside of normal busy times. Nest also offer catering so could be a one stop shop for a fantastic party for your special little one. Call Nest on 02 6948 2950

Public Halls

Another option is the hire of a public hall. There are numerous halls and venues throughout the Snowy Valleys area. Most of the venues are managed by Snowy Valleys Council and also a few managed by community groups or private organisations. The available venues and more information can be found on the council website here. Most venues are around $300 for a half day hire although some are a lot more affordable depending on the space needed, size of the venue, facilities available and the location.

PARTY EQUIPMENT

Lastly, you might be wanting some cool toys. Sorry, you'll probably not want them but I'm sure the kids will. Equipment such as bouncy castles, slides, fairy floss, popcorn machines and slushy makers.
Unfortunately, there does not seem to be a provider locally so this will need to be sourced from Wagga Wagga or Canberra. You'll likely need to do an overnight hire (if they allow it) but you could keep the costs down a little by doing the pick up and drop off (again, if they allow it).
